Ayer
Empezamos por su infancia, por conocer a ese niño que todos llevamos dentro y de una manera especial los profes. En la foto vemos a José Dulac en su infancia muy sonriente y feliz en brazos de su padre, que también era maestro.
¿Cómo fue su etapa de estudiante?
Creo que era un buen alumno. No buen estudiante, en todo caso normal, pero sí buen aprendiz, inquieto siempre por aprender cosas nuevas y entender lo que aprendía. Creo que me adaptaba a mis profesores y sus asignaturas y hacía lo justo para aprobar en la mayoría de los casos. Si el tema a estudiar me apasionaba disfrutaba aprendiendo y dedicando más tiempo y esfuerzo en entender e investigar lo que iba descubriendo.
¿Qué recuerda de ella?
Mi padre era Maestro. Murió muy joven cuando yo tenía cinco años. Por esa triste circunstancia pude estudiar en Zaragoza en un colegio interno para huérfanos del magisterio donde recibí una formación integral en constante innovación y con muy buenos profesores y recursos. Recuerdo iniciativas estupendas como una asignatura que llamaban “Aula en la Naturaleza” que se impartía en los campos y ríos cercanos observando, experimentando y recogiendo muestras para llevar al aula y continuar nuestras investigaciones. También destacaría los estupendos cine forum, las audiciones musicales comentadas, las prácticas en los laboratorios, las numerosas excursiones didácticas, el difícil latín que entonces no entendía, la lectura de clásicos de la literatura. Una educación muy completa que te preparaba para seguir formándote. En un internado se aprende de forma diferente y creo que me adapté a ello. Me hubiera gustado ser profesor de un centro como aquél, disfruté aprendiendo y los profesores disfrutaban enseñando. Por supuesto que también existían aspectos negativos que creo que yo superaba adaptándome, mejorando y viendo el lado bueno de cada situación. Recuerdo una pequeña revolución de los alumnos que en el año 1970 supuso un gran logro en las mejoras de las libertades y autonomía para los alumnos. Fue muy emocionante.
¿Algún profesor especial?
Si. Los que han conseguido emocionarnos durante sus clases amando lo que enseñaban a sus alumnos y cómo lo enseñaban. El profesor que mejores recuerdos me ha dejado fue uno al que llamábamos “Montse”, abreviando su apellido. Todos tenían su mote. Supo motivarnos y despertar el interés por aprender enseñándonos con la ilusión de compartir su sabiduría. El “Prodesse et delectare” de Hortacio. Qué estupendas clases, esperadas con ilusión, en los laboratorios de ciencias naturales, física y química experimentando para aprender. Genial.
¿Cómo fueron sus inicios en la enseñanza?
Acabé mis estudios de Magisterio en Madrid. Obtengo plaza por oposición y tomé posesión de mi primer destino provisional en un colegio en una zona marginal de Villaverde. Dos meses allí y tuve que ir a la mili obligatoria por entonces. 18 meses apartado de la profesión. Tras mi regreso, mi primer destino es rural, en Navalcarnero donde pude disfrutar de la naturaleza cercana como vehículo de aprendizaje. Primeros huertos escolares, salidas habituales al campo, laboratorios de tecnología y ciencias…
Una de las iniciativas que recuerdo con más ilusión fue la creación del periódico escolar impreso con la multicopista y con numerosas fotografías que revelaban los alumnos en nuestro laboratorio fotográfico que siempre he montado en todos los colegios que he estado. No existía la fotografía digital.
Otras, la pintura del Guernica de Picasso a tamaño casi natural que nos suponía varios meses de trabajo, disfrute e investigación con los alumnos. Las jornadas culturales, los montajes de diapositivas hechos con los alumnos, las visitas y excursiones didácticas, el enseñar haciendo y experimentando…
Continúo mi actividad docente en Leganés dónde asumo la dirección del centro llevando la innovación y cambiando la forma de enseñar adaptándola a los avances tecnológicos y la digitalización de las aulas. Fuimos pioneros, en el año 2004, en la integración de la pizarra digital que supuso un notable cambio metodológico todavía en evolución.

Palabra que define su trabajo: adaptación.
La adaptación necesaria en un mundo tan cambiante y con numerosos adelantos tecnológicos. Por esto, llamamos a nuestra investigación Aula Adaptativa que pretende potenciar la capacidad de adaptación de profesores y alumnos a los nuevos avances tecnológicos y las nuevas necesidades sociales futuras.
La propuesta de Aula Adaptativa se basa en aprovechar los recursos y herramientas TIC para mejorar la formación didáctico-tecnológica de los docentes, la comunicación en las aulas, la gestión de la información, la utilización de las mejores herramientas y recursos, la necesaria creatividad docente, la colaboración y la capacidad de adaptación a los cambios en las aulas.

Proyectos actuales:

Nuestro proyecto que centraliza el trabajo realizado hasta la fecha le denominamos Pluma y Arroba (www.plumayarroba.com). Nos organizamos como entidad educativa investigadora que integra las metodologías basadas en el uso de la tecnología y la digitalización y el necesario asentamiento cultural, artístico, histórico… Para ello disponemos de catorce Laboratorios Didácticos activos.
Metodologías que utiliza:
- Creemos que la mayor adaptación metodológica de las aulas actuales debe ser el integrar las nuevas formas de comunicación didáctica basadas en las posibilidades multimedia e interactivas que nos ofrece la tecnología educativa sin olvidar lo que acabamos de mencionar, el asentamiento cultural, artístico, histórico…Para entenderlo mejor, sería una especie de proyecto STEAM, pero con una visión humanista mucho más amplia. Es necesario integrar en las aulas un conocimiento del pasado, de la historia y cultura propias que nos ayude a entender mejor el presente y sus cambios y darnos una mejor capacidad de adaptación a los cambios futuros.

Para hacer un guiño de futuro en la educación soy optimista y creo que en España tenemos muy buenos docentes y una buena educación. Por supuesto que son necesarias mejoras que deberán llegar desde la dignificación de los docentes y las mejoras legislativas y presupuestarias.
Hay que valorar el inmenso trabajo que los profesores hacen en las aulas. Apuesto por la creatividad e innovación apoyada por las TIC.

En la línea de lo dicho anteriormente, durante este año 2019 estamos trabajando un proyecto que denominamos “En torno a Leonardo”. Aprovechamos que se conmemora el quinto centenario de la muerte de Leonardo da Vinci para acercar su figura y obra como modelo de trabajo de nuestra metodología STEAM Pluma y Arroba. El gran impacto mediático generado con la efeméride nos ayuda a despertar la curiosidad investigadora y creativa en las aulas.
