En esta nueva entrada vamos a ver cómo podemos utilizar las regletas en la clase de psicomotricidad con los nenes de 5 años utilizando nuestra creatividad y la de nuestros alumnos. Pero antes, me gustaría hacer una pequeña reseña acerca de un artículo que leí en relación a que los niños retienen más conceptos matemáticos cuando están en movimiento (Fuente: El Mercurio, 27 de febrero 2017).
Según un Jacob Wienecke, académico del Departamento de Neurociencia de la Universidad de Cophenague y autor del estudio que verifica lo anteriormente dicho, argumenta y demuestra que hay evidencias de que una actividad física moderada puede facilitar el aprendizaje de las matemáticas si ésta se realiza antes de la clase.
Pero en el estudio realizado fueron más allá y se preguntaron si el movimiento puede ser útil cuando se integra dentro de la materia misma. Y sí, puede. Hay una mejor comprensión cuando el niño se INVOLUCRA a sí mismo, utilizando su cuerpo como herramienta de aprendizaje.
Por otra parte, también es necesario nombrar a mi querido Piaget cuando hablamos de matemática y movimiento, puesto que en sus trabajos establece que la relación entre la pedagogía matemática y la acción deben ir unidas y no limitarse solo al lenguaje.
Si con nuestro cuerpo desarrollamos actividades físicas, también podemos tener con él actividades lógico matemáticas.
De ahí, mi empeño por una educación en la que el niño sea protagonista de su propio aprendizaje en el que pueda manipular, vivenciar, actuar, improvisar, crear, imaginar….
Así trabajamos con los nenes de 5 años:
Clasificaremos entre todos las regletas y las introduciremos en nuestro buzón . Después cada niño irá cogiendo una al azar.
En el suelo tendremos escrito los números y a la señal de “3,2,1 acción” los niños irán corriendo al número correspondiente ,colocarán la regleta que les ha tocado. Si la regleta es la amarilla irán hacia el número 5, si la regleta es roja se desplazarán al número 2….
Esta actividad se podría realizar con otras variantes, dando saltos, reptando, haciendo un mini circuito con aros y conos, alternativas variadas con las que desarrollaremos la atención,la imaginación, la creatividad y la cooperación.
